*These lesson are solid workbook pages.  We want to work as a team to design more hands-on experiences for this.  Think about using gallons, quarts, and pints with real containers.  Representing those amounts (gallon, milk jug, milk cartons from cafeteria, things that having pints, juice, water, soda bottles etc).
**Look in math journal prompts for tasks to go with these lessons.

Be sure to address scaled pictographs 
ME Unit3, Lesson 11-14.  Emphasis on student having to choose the scale themselves, based on given numbers (tally sheet with 3 different students, each with a different student, each with a different total number of ice cream cones they ate 12, 24, 8.  They have to create a pictograph and determine the value of each picture in the graph-that would work with this situation.
